AAA bags can be run flat and not be hurt however they replace your bump stops so why not have at least a few psi in them so you cushion your bump stop and soften your ride. Some people run AAA bags for a sportier ride and less roll around corners but most get them for those constant or occassional heavy loads. Note, our kits are still suitable even if your vehicle has a 2 lift. Air Assist Australia – AAA Suspension. With this package you receive our large in cab kit which features our large compressor and tyre inflation kit. You can inflate and deflate the air bags from inside the vehicle but also run a tank and inflate tyres. The good thing about air bags is just keep adding more air until. You reach your desired ride height and comfort no matter the. You can’t hurt the bags because they can go to over. 1000 psi but here we are only talking the sorts of pressures you. Would run in your tyres. Speaking of tyres the air in your bags. Behaves the same as the air in your tyres. If you have 60 psi in your tyres and they still sag then lets face it you are over loaded. Keep things safe by not going over 60 psi in the air bags and a good rule of thumb when loaded is what ever you have in your tyres – put the same&#######xA0;in your air bags. &#####x200B;&#####x200B;&#####x200B;&#####x200B;&#####x200B;&#####x200B;&#####x200B;They are rated to still be effective with up to 2.5t over the back axle which in most cases is way more than you should be carrying and just goes to show the bags are up for what ever you throw at them. Some air bag kits like those that go inside coils&#######xA0;can only offer 450 Kg which is nothing on these. You can not hurt these air bags. There is no maximum pressure because even industrial compressors can not reach the lofty heights of 800 to 1000 psi where these were made. Sticks, stones and sand will not hurt them. The rubber in these bags is heavier than the rubber in your tyres – we have people who live on cattle stations and have horrid corrugated gibber roads and they never have issues. There is no rubbing parts and they will not wear out. They can see out your car’s useful life no matter the age or distance. &#######xA0;&#####x200B;&#####x200B;&#####x200B;&#####x200B;&#####x200B;&#####x200B;&#####x200B. The&#######xA0;Air Bags replace and become your new bump stop. Even if you have no air in them the bag compresses and the sidewalls are such that you still have a rubber bump stop. But why not cushion the bump stop even when unloaded with a bit of air. It is like a pillow effect when you cushion your bump stop. The end&#######xA0;plates in our AAA kits are still an inch apart on full compression so they do not strike each other. As such we dont need internal bump stops. It’s ok to run these flat. Here’s where AAA Suspension lead the way and beat the other brands… AAA brackets are 100% made in Australia. Other brands make their brackets overseas and not only is that unaustralian but when they run out they can run out for months. It also means they can’t customise brackets for customers with custom fabricating needs. AAA has been approved and&#######xA0;licensed to use the Made in Australia logo. AAA have a massive 4WD knowledge base and their kits do not fall short. Some other brands claim to suit 2 lift when they barely reach standard height. At AAA&#######xA0;we offer height options and can even taylor make custom kits. AAA kits use heavier steel components. The end plates are 6mm steel rather than 5mm and we dont make do with C channel like others but instead use 3mm RHS where possible for added strength. And heavier steel means we crank up the welder and get deeper stronger welds. The manufacture and design of AAA kits is guided by automotive engineers who not only specify materials and designs but specify where and how to weld so as not to compromise the integrity of the steel. The others clearly got that wrong as they weld across the arms instead of length ways. In most cases simple stuff that make a big difference. Others use imperial 1/4 air line and NPT threads whereas AAA use metric 6mm and BSP threads… Means parts are readilly replaceable anywhere if needed while on a big trip. &#####x200B;&#####x200B;&#####x200B;&#####x200B;&#####x200B;&#####x200B;&#####x200B;AAA air fittings come pre-fitted to end plates with high pressure gas sealant. AAA kits come with an extra meter of air line over others. And its high flex, super strong and meets all the safety standards. Every bolt&#######xA0;is hi tensile grade 8 so they wont break. AAA kits can be run flat and still the end plates will not strike each other. You still have a cushioned bump stop and you dont chew the bags out from the inside. AAA Load Assist Kits include everything needed to fit and be operational. 2 Air Bags with alloy rings. Top and Bottom mounting plates using 6mm plate steel. 6 metres of 6mm poly urethane air line. Push to connect fittings in end plates using larger 1/4 BSP threads to the 6mm air line. 2 x one-piece tyre valves for inflation and deflation – one per bag. Working diagram and instructions. These bags will not be&#######xA0;harmed by over stretching them. They clamp to the end plates and the worst thing you could do is pull the bag away from the clamp so just undo them, reposition and do them up again. But we can make sure you get the right length brackets and bags so your shocks prevent over stretching. You can protect your investment with this kit – when you upgrade your vehicle in almost all cases you can keep your old bags and just get a new set of AAA brackets to suit the new rig. It takes a lot to hurt AAA bags like getting caught in a fence or having a&#######xA0;fire. In almost every kit there is no drilling cutting or welding required. These kits just bolt in using your suspension mounts and either use the old bump stop mounts or clamp onto the chassis. Just a normal socket set is all you need by way of tools and anyone can do it in about an hour – you dont even need a hoist. We send everything same or next day. This air bag kit comes with our auto levelling&#######xA0;kit and tank. This Aussie made kit replaces the rear coils in every Y62 Patrol model. That means you wont wear out the tyres. Here’s why it’s important to always run it at a set height – As the rear goes up and down the alignment of the wheels alters so much you can actually see that the rear wheels lean in (Camber) or point inwards or outwards (Tow In). It also impacts fuel economy. By maintaing your ride height you prevent changes to the alignment. We start with our coil delete kit – They have stood the test of time&#######xA0;being used&#######xA0;by several hundred Patrol enthusiasts and we dare say over millions of harsh Australian kilometers. A direct replacement of coil spring to our proprietary 3500 series AAA Air Bag which was designed specifically for the Y62. The top mounts are held in by replacement K Frame bolts and the bottom plates bolt to factory lower control arms and also On Track’s billet lower control arms if you have those. At factory height your lower control arms sit flat and the bags sit straight and vertical. If you have a 2″ lift your arms lean down so we also list a lower 2″ mount kit to compensate that lean and bring the bags back to straight and vertical. By running our AAA Coil Delete kit in conjunction with our Auto Levelling kit the rear of your vehicle will always be at the same height no matter how heavy or light the load. It doesnt matter if you take on passengers, fill that long range tank with fuel or hitch up to the van it will always be the same height. And all the time it is no stiffer than it needs to be for that height. You cant get that with heavy coils and inserts and what’s more when you unload those stiffer coils are still stiff. No buttons or adjustments, everything is automatic which is exactly how the engineers want it to be. Here’s how it works :&#######xA0. Our AAA Auto Ride Height Kit features pneumatic valves as used in the truck industry. A valve body is mounted to the chassis K frame using the hand brake cable bolt so no drilling required. There’s a swing arm that’s attached to your lower rear control arm. It senses the wheels in the up and down positions. When too low (loaded) the arm position lets air into the bags and they inflate. When too tall (unloaded) the arm lets air out of the bags. There’s a tolerance in the middle which allows minor up and down such as discrete road undulations and corrugations etc without inflating or deflating occuring. There is an adjustable link rod you can lengthen and shorten so you can set your ideal ride height on each side. Very simple and very effective. If the car becomes loaded and sags the system calls for air. Likewise if you hit a big dip while travelling the same logic applies and it momentarily calls for air. Without a tank that meant the compressor has to briefly run and it’s why we now run a tank with this kit. When the system calls for air it just takes a bit from the tank and then the compressor only has to come on to recharge the tank occasionally. And by only running a small tank the compressor only runs for a short period to charge the tank. Some people run really big tanks with their tyre inflation compressor and the reasin we dont like using those is that by the time you duck down the street on the schol run the compressor is still filling that big tank by the time you get back. The engineers love it because the bags and ride heights can’t be tampered with while driving. The compressor is on a relay triggered by the car’s ignition. If the ignition is on the system is live and with a pressure switch the compressor will turn on automatically when it senses that air is needed in the tank. Our kit comes with our CX02 Compressor and 1.2L air tank. The compressor mounts mounts behind the passenger side headlight again using existing bolt holes. Nothing has to be relocated and it just goes straight in. For wiring we provide a fuse tap (piggy back) that picks up a trigger for the relay from the fuse box and so there are no mods to wiring, no stripping wires and no soldering. We strongly recommend that compressors and tanks for air suspension have nothing to do with compressors and tanks for tyres &#####x2013; keep them separate. If you were to seek a GVM your engineer will insist upon this too. Here’s what you need to know about engineering – If you take the coils out and replace them with air bags an engineer ought to sign off on that same as he would for a child restraint or changing the number of seats. And for a GVM upgrade an Engineer is most certainly required. Engineers have differing opinions but one thing’s for certain, none of them want to see that you can adjust your heights while driving and they all want to see an automated system such as this that keeps your ride at the same level. Engineering is a local task usually arranged by the person doing the instalation. At AAA when we fit this kit the enegineer we use is prepared to sign off at 3830Kg GVM upgrade using this kit in conjunction with braced factory lower control arms. And that is just the beginning – if you wish to persue heavier front coils (standard height or lifted) and that involves HBMC work then you can go to a higher GVM. And then you can look at changing more parts and also your wheels and tyres and go to even higher ratings. This kit has&#######xA0;formed the foundation for the heaviest of GVM upgrades so we know this kit is not a limiting factor – indeed a requirement. Some air bag kits like those that go inside coils&#######xA0;can only offer 450 Kg which is nothing on these. You can not hurt these air bags. There is no maximum pressure because even industrial compressors can not reach the lofty heights of 800 to 1000 psi where these were made. Sticks, stones and sand will not hurt them. The rubber in these bags is heavier than the rubber in your tyres – we have people who live on cattle stations and have horrid corrugated gibber roads and they never have issues. There is no rubbing parts and they will not wear out. Keep things safe by not going over 60 psi in the air bags and a good rule of thumb when loaded is what ever you have in your tyres – put the same&#######xA0;in your air bags. &#####x200B;&#####x200B;&#####x200B;&#####x200B;&#####x200B;&#####x200B;&#####x200B;They are rated to still be effective with up to 2.5t over the back axle which in most cases is way more than you should be carrying and just goes to show the bags are up for what ever you throw at them. Some air bag kits like those that go inside coils&#######xA0;can only offer 450 Kg which is nothing on these. You can not hurt these air bags. There is no maximum pressure because even industrial compressors can not reach the lofty heights of 800 to 1000 psi where these were made. Sticks, stones and sand will not hurt them. The rubber in these bags is heavier than the rubber in your tyres – we have people who live on cattle stations and have horrid corrugated gibber roads and they never have issues. There is no rubbing parts and they will not wear out. They can see out your car’s useful life no matter the age or distance. &#######xA0;&#####x200B;&#####x200B;&#####x200B;&#####x200B;&#####x200B;&#####x200B;&#####x200B. The&#######xA0;Air Bags replace and become your new bump stop. Even if you have no air in them the bag compresses and the sidewalls are such that you still have a rubber bump stop. But why not cushion the bump stop even when unloaded with a bit of air. It is like a pillow effect when you cushion your bump stop. The end&#######xA0;plates in our AAA kits are still an inch apart on full compression so they do not strike each other. As such we dont need internal bump stops. It’s ok to run these flat. Here’s where AAA Suspension lead the way and beat the other brands… AAA brackets are 100% made in Australia. Other brands make their brackets overseas and not only is that unaustralian but when they run out they can run out for months. It also means they can’t customise brackets for customers with custom fabricating needs. AAA has been approved and&#######xA0;licensed to use the Made in Australia logo. AAA have a massive 4WD knowledge base and their kits do not fall short. Some other brands claim to suit 2 lift when they barely reach standard height. At AAA&#######xA0;we offer height options and can even taylor make custom kits. AAA kits use heavier steel components. The end plates are 6mm steel rather than 5mm and we dont make do with C channel like others but instead use 3mm RHS where possible for added strength. And heavier steel means we crank up the welder and get deeper stronger welds. The manufacture and design of AAA kits is guided by automotive engineers who not only specify materials and designs but specify where and how to weld so as not to compromise the integrity of the steel. The others clearly got that wrong as they weld across the arms instead of length ways. In most cases simple stuff that make a big difference. Others use imperial 1/4 air line and NPT threads whereas AAA use metric 6mm and BSP threads… Means parts are readilly replaceable anywhere if needed while on a big trip. &#####x200B;&#####x200B;&#####x200B;&#####x200B;&#####x200B;&#####x200B;&#####x200B;AAA air fittings come pre-fitted to end plates with high pressure gas sealant. AAA kits come with an extra meter of air line over others. And its high flex, super strong and meets all the safety standards. Every bolt&#######xA0;is hi tensile grade 8 so they wont break. AAA kits can be run flat and still the end plates will not strike each other. You still have a cushioned bump stop and you dont chew the bags out from the inside. AAA Load Assist Kits include everything needed to fit and be operational. 2 Air Bags with alloy rings. Top and Bottom mounting plates using 6mm plate steel. 6 metres of 6mm poly urethane air line. Push to connect fittings in end plates using larger 1/4 BSP threads to the 6mm air line. 2 x one-piece tyre valves for inflation and deflation – one per bag. Working diagram and instructions. These bags will not be&#######xA0;harmed by over stretching them. They clamp to the end plates and the worst thing you could do is pull the bag away from the clamp so just undo them, reposition and do them up again. But we can make sure you get the right length brackets and bags so your shocks prevent over stretching. You can protect your investment with this kit – when you upgrade your vehicle in almost all cases you can keep your old bags and just get a new set of AAA brackets to suit the new rig. It takes a lot to hurt AAA bags like getting caught in a fence or having a&#######xA0;fire. In almost every kit there is no drilling cutting or welding required. These kits just bolt in using your suspension mounts and either use the old bump stop mounts or clamp onto the chassis. Just a normal socket set is all you need by way of tools and anyone can do it in about an hour – you dont even need a hoist.
